Chaos, could I ask you your reasoning behind ranking DX so high? I mean, the early DX we all know and love wasn't a tag team, it was a pair of singles wrestlers partnered up. In '97, Triple H and Shawn Michaels pursued separate singles careers as a duo. I don't think they even chased the Tag Team titles did they? The DX "tag team" is really only a few years old and, when you look at their history, they really haven't accomplished a damn thing together.

    Thanks.

The Freebirds would've left DX for dead, even with Chyna in the mix. I'm surprised that the Wild Samoans didn't make the list considering they've won over 20 tag team titles and were the first of the Island tag teams.

If you're going to put a DX tag team, you'd have to go with the New Age Outlaws.

We should either drop or cut DX. Like Shock said, put in the Samoans.
Also, APA {Simmons & JBL} should be in there.

yeah, thats why I cut it short at top 5 is the same. I agree with Truth in that I dont really see early DX as a tag team, to me, they were a stable.

I think that Sting and Luger could get a mention on there somewhere. Great list though.

I think MCMG and Beer Money have easily surpassed Masters of the Powerbomb, MNM and the Thrillseekers. Both MCMG and BM have been together for close to 5 years

Like the top 50 wrestlers its all about opinions, the way I see it that Dx in the form of triple H and shawn michaels have been dominate as a unit, I rate them very highly but I will admit that I left out the Rockers as an oversight but that happens with any top 50 list. It will be interesting to see if anyone else put their own list of top 50 tag teams to see what their opinion is

If the talent pool was deep at the time I would agre,e but who exactly were they dominant against, the Spirit Squad? the McMahons? I believe a ranking should also come with an impressive and credible resume of showing the caliber of talent that the tag teams were up against.

The top 5 on the list is good, some questionnable tag teams put in like people have said about DX being so high up. As well as a few others that seemed to have made their way pretty high up the list, if we were going international with it it would be difficult to exclude Kawada & Akira Taue as Williams & Gordy have been put pretty high up for a team that didn't as I recall make a big enough impact in America. Same with Eddie Guerrero & Art Barr that I would say deserve to be there more so than a few teams there. But as I said the top 5 is good and I would say accurate in most wrestling fan's list for the top tag teams.

Good to see The Dudleys get the recognition at a satisfying #10 but before Edge & Christian? I know Edge & Christian were already teaming before signing with the WWF, but their prominence in the WWF didn't last long, maybe 2 years max before splitting into singles. That doesn't compare to what the Dudleys accomplished in their 13 years together. I would probably argue Eaton and Lane's ranking ahead of Dudleys as well on the reason that the Lane/Eaton version of the Midnights lasted 3 years in the one organization.

I think I probably would have put Eddie and Art Close to the the top 5 if not part of the top 5 (just my opinion). I would have added Harlem Heat somewhere on the list as well. I think APA and the rockers deserve a spot somewhere toward the middle of the list.

I think Edge and Christian were known more for their antics and ability to make the crowd angry than their actual wrestling. Those pot shots at the local towns with the 5 second poses were more memorable to me than any matches they had.

Chaos, you don't have the Heart Throbs on there?

The Express would be my #1. Ricky Morton was sensational and Gibson was pretty bloody good himself.

Those weren't real matches, they were spot fests. As entertaining as they were, it doesn't exactly take a lot of skill to fall off of something high.
