Looks like Brock is about to vanish into the woods and never been seen again.
This Friday the battle of former champions takes place when former UFC 265lb champ Brock Lesnar takes on former Strikeforce 265lb champ Alistair Overeem. Overeem is on an 11 fight unbeaten streak, will finally make his Octagon debut after fighting extensively for such promotions as RINGS, Pride, Strikeforce, and Dream. Lesnar is coming off of his second battle with diverticulitis and fights where he's looked less than stellar. His bout with Shane Carwin ended in a nice submission win for him, but his standup looked like it left something to be desired, and it was further confirmed after he dropped the UFC title to Cain Velasquez. The winner of this bout will be getting a confirmed title shot at newly minted UFC Heavyweight Champion, Junior dos Santos. Here's the fight card lineup.

I see it now... at Wrestlemania, Brock F5s the Rock and costs him the match.
Never to be seen again...Until Vince McMahon throws a boat load of money at him to save his lame company.
I would take the "retirement" with a grain of salt. Trust me, if the money is right and Brock is prepared, I think you'll see him in the Octagon again. Also if he does go back to the WWE, it's going to come at a pretty premium price now that Lesnar is more well known in the mainstream sports world than he ever was in WWE.
