I too am looking forward to how this plays out. Not too happy that it looks like some of my NXT favourites will no longer be appearing on NXT, (*) but I'm willing to look past that in favour of the new blood.

    * Besides, they'll probably pop up in the extender RAWs sooner or later.

Also is Dusty Rhodes the GM? I think I heard a rumor bout that, but can't remember where.

Update on the current plans for NXT:

The current plan right now is for WWE to continue taping NXT Season 5 (Redemption season) at the Smackdown tapings to air online on Wednesdays. The start of a re-branded Season 6 was taped last week at Full Sail University. WWE will continue taping NXT5 at the weekly Smackdown tapings until finding a new TV home for NXT6.

After seeing all the new talent that debuted at those tapings, I hope they find a new home soon.

Those who live without honor, end without honor.

Now anyone who knows me, knows that I love FCW, and its good to see some of the FCW stars on NXT. I love the start of the new NXT, no more pro and contestants, no more silly games, just plain wrestling. NXT has certainly got that buzz about it, with Jim Ross and William Regal doing a great job working together and actually calling the match as it should be by acctually naming the holds and talking about the wrestlers themselves instead of what else is on the show during the match, or silly banter between the commentators. Bo Dallas (still prefer Bo Rotunda, but that WWE for you) is a great prospect for the future without question, and was the first FCW star to be part of the new NXT. Promo's by Seth Rollins (which I personally think was one of his better ones since joining WWE) and Bray Wyatt. I love a character of Wyatt, he's different and not the cookie cutter type. Bray Wyatt aka Husky Harris has certainly worked hard in FCW and tried a couple of different character and looks but thats what you have to do in the minor league, try different things out to see what works and dont work, and trust me Bray Wyatt works big time.

Now for those who have seen FCW, you all should know that the Ascension was a pretty unique stable, they had the x factor, young hungry and very different, however Raquel Diaz broke away to do her own things and Epico was brought up to the main roster leaving Conor O'Brian & Kenneth Cameron to become a tag team called Ascension. Ascension reminds me of an old school tag team, cut the ring in half, many tags, aggressive, double team moves and working as a smooth unit. However the icing on the cake was an excellant match between tyson kidd and michael mcgillicutty this was a great 15 min match which blew away anything on raw or smackdown, time to give Kidd and michael mcgillicutty a push.

Anyone know where to see this?? I'd love to, but in Iowa they don't have it on any TV stations, all YT vids of it are blocked, and WWE took away all mention of NXT from their site! WTF, do they even want us to watch a good product?

Thanks chaos! You're the man! I told the local indy guys about the shows being viewable here, so if registration is needed to view it, we might also get several new members.

It doesn't make sence for WWE to not let the whole world see NXT, if they dont put it on TV in certain countries why not put it on their own youtube channel. I'll see if I can find another link..fingers crossed

In one hour, this show has everything Raw and Smackdown doesn't have in four hours!

Is the first time I see them, and I'm already a fan of Ascension, just like already wrote above, good tag team, it seem they have good chemestry together.. Bo Dallas (BTW, why "Dallas"?) is great, I have seen him before a couple of time on FCW, just great, looking foward to see what are they going to do whit him..

MATCH OF THE WEEK, easily, Tyson Kidd vs Michael McGillicutty, great wrestling match, these two work great together IMO, and hearing Jim Ross and William Regal while watching this match was just amazing; just a quick note, if Husky Harris got repacked, why Mcgillicutty can't go on the same path?, he is proving that he is good in the ring, just that name, it doesn't need to be entirely repacked, just let him use his real name!!

Speaking of Husky AKA Bray Watt, he looks in great shape, and also looks great with that character..

Way better than any othe show WWE has right now easily. For me this is now a MUST SEE show, great...

Quick question, maybe in some other thread is the answer but, is gonna be a "winner" like the other seasons? Or, what is the "ultimate prize" the wrestlers on NXT are trying to get?

Either way, great show, looking foward to the next shows...

I got a feeling there is no "prize" to me NXT seem like the bridge between FCW and WWE main shows (Raw & Smackdown), which is a good thing, as there are no stupid competition just the action in the ring

So I finally get to watch NXT. I thought I was going to be treated to some great wrestling, but after watching Mike Rotunda's son, I thought "what the heck are they teaching these kids in FCW?". Is Rotunda's son scared of the cameras? Is that really Blackjack Mulligain's grandson? How disgraceful! Did this guy not inherit any gab from his old man or Mulls? For the better part of NXT, I was deeply disappointed in the appearance of some of these cookie cutter 'wrestlers' if you can call them that. The majority of them look like they have bulimia and give me no indication that they're wrestlers. I'm not going to give them the benefit of the doubt because they've had 1/2 years wrestling in FCW. I finally get to see this Seth Rollins guy, Mr. former ROH World Champion Tyler Black. I couldn't stop laughing because it looked like Spike Dudley had shot up a few inches. I thought "was this guy really the ROH champion?". The problem for me is that they all look the same and wrestle the same, strike the same, and bump the same. I know that these young lads are still finding themselves and in time their bodies will develop once they hit puberty, but for the biggest wrestling company in the world to show these guys as bare and boring makes me wonder what they're being taught in FCW.

The good I got from NXT was the main event that went around 20 minutes. I also liked the intimate set. It reminded me of the old territory TV tapings from the studio.

Overall, a poor showing. Thank goodness for Tyson/Hennig III. But for the majority of the show, I was not impressed.

I think its clear that Shockage hasn't seen any matches from FCW, and it show that he's not excited to see the new breed of WWE stars. The old comment of cookie cutter wrestlers yet Bray Wyatt is not what you class as cookie cutter. look like our Shockage needs some education and time to catch up what the rest of the real knowledgable WWE fans already know, this is an exciting time for WWE as it on the edge of a brand new generation of WWE stars. Comparing Seth Rollins with spike Dudley, omg I think Shock need more help than orginally thought, maybe you should look at our video library and watch Seth Rollins in action and then tell me he's like spike dudley.

I should rename the thread NXT - the education of shockage

I don't know if I can take the guys that I saw this week seriously. Despite what they're capable of, they all look the same and wrestle that WWE developmental style.

After seeing the way Gut Check is presented with it's honest approach, I'm insulted at the new NXT. WWE are telling us that these guys are the future, whereas Gutcheck are saying that whomever gets selected stands a chance of being a future star but he/she has to work at it. The new NXT offends me!!!

That's what happens when you watch too much of TNA, Shocky! But I agree with you on Bo Dallas. I am unimpressed by him. Don't know why he is getting a push on FCW and NXT.

lol I'm still laughing at Seth Rollins. I really thought he looked like a taller Spike Dudley in his promo.

So another new week of NXT is behind us, and seeing the NXT debuts for Seth Rollins, Richie Steamboat and Leo Kruger all in basically squash match, but I guess they need to introduce the new NXT stars to the uneducated. I was certainly impressed with The Ascession getting a good win over the Uso's. The main event was pretty much a let down compared with last weeks master class, Bateman vs Curtis was kinding boring and personally dont see a future for either one of these star on the main WWE roster.

Overall, I wasn't impressed with NXT due to Seth Rollins and Richie Steamboat not living up to the hype. I saw no such individuality between these two wrestlers. They had the same build, and wrestled somewhat the same. I didn't care, and I wasn't convinced I was watching Ricky Steamboat's son.

I did enjoy Claudio's match, it was nice, short and brief, and he hit all the points for a squash match.

have a little faith oh little shockage, you want to see how good they are check out their matches where they face each other. Anyhow its this period that NXT will have to introduce alot of new wrestler to the uneducated, but wait till they face each other and then I will prove that im right and shockage will be eating his words

The Richie and Rollins matches told me nothing about who they were as wrestlers in the present of where they were going. It was too fast paced and over thought. To give it a musical comparison, it was like auditioning for a lead guitarist, and Richie and Seth over played, over soloed and were more interested about holding down the pedal to give it that messy distort sound. Excuse my language, but I thought it was sewage!

I have a feeling that you will like this Bray Wyatt dude, Shocky. Just wait for him to come on the show. I bet your opinion about the show will change.

Personally the fact that the latest show had six squash matches irked me. I know they're trying to build up the faces of NXT, but I feel it'd be more impactful and less bland if every 'major player' on NXT had more than four minutes to display themselves. Would help set apart the wrestlers and improve characterization, too.
