Parks is the VP, I think. Granted only two things allow this theory: Body Type and that brown hood he wears.
Well it's been a while for Aces and 8's in TNA and still no leader revealed or members. There has been numerous ideas been thrown around about who is in and who is out. I'd like to find out who they are as well and was pondering out some ideas and I stumbled upon an obvious idea that seemed to be over looked by many IWC'ers.
Now follow me on this...the leader that would fit the Aces and 8's would be none other than Scott Steiner. Why you ask? Somebody has to know the ins and out of TNA...Scott was with TNA for a long time and would know the ins and outs of TNA and its arena.
Someone obviously doesn't like Hogan and Sting (for being Hogan's friend) and wants him to be a failure and with the tweets between Hogan and Steiner over the spring this year it's a good way to bring Steiner back in. Those tweets could have been a work this whole time.
Maybe I'm over speculating this whole thing but it would be nice if it was Steiner and just for a bonus as an added thwart to people have Bischoff and his financial back up for the invasions.
Anyone else have any other theories about the leader of the Aces and 8's?

I was thinking that they are just hired goons and Scott and Eric are behind the scenes at the moment driving the invasion.

Scott would be cool. I doubt it's him but he is the only person I can think of who would suit the role: like you said he knows the ins and outs, but unlike say Bischoff hes suits the role of a leader of a biker gang. Then again Bischoff does like bikes.
Personally I'm thinking Jarett, it'd be interesting to see him try and regain control.
There are theories that guys like Luke Gallows and Chris Masters are in the group, what if one of them is the leader? Be a bigger push, atleast initially, plus if the leader isn't a former TNA wrestler it could bring a bit more reality to the invasion aspect of the angle.
Violence Just Got Sexy
The only thing against the Steiner theory is that they let all the controversy die down with the Twitter stuff. That would be a major missed opportunity. If he was still lashing out at them and causing a stir, that would be a great reveal for him to be the leader. I am leaning towards Jarrett as well, but I also know that nowadays wrestling companies like to change plans if way too many people find out about something. Cristian's WWE comeback comes to mind...

A massive swerve would be if Brooke Hogan was the leader. Easily explained as a F you to her old man with some childhood issues mixed in there. The attack could be a neccessary sacrifice to throw them off the scent.
I'm convinced the leader will be revealed after winning the World Champion. Which currently puts Jeff Hardy in the driving seat. Also there seems to be six guys in a group with Eight's in its name, which makes me think there needs to be an official involved as well as the World Champion, bringing their numbers up to 8. So Jeff Hardy and Hulk Hogan could be the final members.
But if they did go with Brooke there could also be a power couple storyline to come out of it with Jeff Hardy (or potentially Austin Aries).

While the leader is supposedly Devon , what if the thing is a complete setup? I honestly don't think it will be Bully Ray or Sting, it would be intriguing if a certain manager from TNA's past returns. Capturing Joseph Parks, could be great in setting up the return of the father James Mitchell. Mitchell once had an intense rivalry with Abyss that resulted in his storyline dismissal. The style of promos done by Aces and Eights prior to Bound for Glory is very similar to those that Mitchell. People are thinking that Aces and Eights are out to get Hogan, what if their true agenda is revenge on Sting. James Mitchell would have every reason to want to humiliate Sting, while Devon could be a needed acquisition to take down Bully Ray.

Problem with this is that everyone is now expecting Devon to be bad etc. Here's the thing....what if it's a deploy by Hulk to save Parks. Would explain things as to why Devon became a member of Aces and 8's and gave up his title. Still something fishy though and I was wondering the same about Sting having some type of involvement with Aces and 8's.

In regards to the reveal of Devon as being part of the Aces and Eights group at last night's TNA Bound for Glory PPV in Phoenix, PWInsider.com reports that the reveal was simply to put over his involvement with the group and that he wasn't the actual leader. Advertising for next month's Turning Point PPV on 11/11 focuses on the group.
Turning Point could either provide more questions to the questions, or answers with more questions. Turning Point will be an intriguing event to watch and the coming Impact Wrestling shows could take an interesting road to getting there.

It's taking an interesting turn. My theory so far is that there's more than one member of the Aces & Eights working in TNA. Aces & Eights drugged Al Snow, planted D'lo to be in the right place at the right time so he could assure that Wes gets a TNA contract.
Wes & Garrett are members as well that Aces placed to manipulate and eventually betray Kurt Angle. Wes & Garrett will be revealed at Final Resolution when they turn against Angle & Joe.
I hope it isn't Jeff Jarrett. He's not even a biker, that I'm aware of. That will only keep other talent from getting able to move up in the company. Also, I don't know about anyone else, but TNA has been pushing these invasion/takeover angles for the last ten years with different groups and wrestlers only to see what actually gets over. So much in fact, they have literally gotten me tired of seeing them. The nWo angle was great. I see TNA, and sometimes WWE, doing over and over again. With this angle is like the Scorpion angle from WCW 1990 all over again where TNA brass aren't sure who the leader should be. Which makes the case the entire angle was never completely thought out.
Personally, this storyline has bored me to death. For the first few months I was very interested but they've drug it out entirely too long now. They've revealed two members - one was a success in my opinion (Devon) and the other was a failure - who really cares about Luke Gallows? When you're doing a mystery man (or men in this case), you have to leave clues every now and then to keep the audience vested and guessing - TNA does none of this. They just do their little video clips or arena invasions and - then what? Nothing. There's no teasing TNA roster members being involved anymore - I think James Storm was the last possible involvee and that was how long ago?
Saving it so everyone is revealed at one time is a mistake - it'll kill the intrigue. They've had plenty of opportunities to have someone pull a mask off but they never do anything with it. The PPV for instance - Kurt could've pulled the mask off the guy he pinned and presented a good lead-in for iMPACT but no, they just let them lose and that's that.
This angle started off with a good story (playing off the success of SoA in my opinion but that's OK) but it's fallen flat. I'm bored with it. When it started, I became a regular TNA viewer again - now I'm back to once a month and a few check-ins here and there like I was before it started.
Sometimes it feels like TNA doesn't even know who the members will be and they're just killing time until WWE releases some more people so they can plug them into the roles.
And to whoever said there has to be 8 members because of the name - that's not necessarily the case. The name is probably what interested me the most at first because it's something I've been planning on getting for my next tattoo. The name comes from the cards that were supposedly in "Wild" Bill Hickok's hand when he was assassinated while playing poker - two aces and two 8's, all black, with an unknown kicker. Like I said, I've had this tattoo planned for awhile and will be using the King of Hearts (the Suicide King - look at the card, you'll understand) as my 5th.
"In nominee Patris, et Fili, et Spiritus Sancti."
personally I think TNA is dropping the ball on a good idea, Things are dragging on too long, and the interesting is waning, cant remember the last big PPV victory, there is no leader even after all these months, basically its typical TNA, did anyone expect anything else
In comparison to the Anonymous GM mystery, I hope the leader will be revealed in less than 2 years. In comparison to Vince McMahon's illegitimate son angle, I hope the leader won't be a let down or a joke like when Hornswoggle was revealed (although it created some hilarity for a few weeks). In comparison to who was behind GTV, I hope the angle doesn't get dropped. But for the meantime I'm tolerating the Aces angle, I really hate that at Joe's expense, the TV Title went back to Devon. Over the next couple of months TNA really need to pull a rabbit out of the hat and reveal some more members that will make heads turn.
There is a GOD! Shock bashes a TNA angle with legit ability, I can die happy.
Alright now that that is out of my system. I think at this point anything less than someone with no ties to TNA whatsoever but is a huge name in pro wrestling will be a let down. I mean yes certain names will be less of a let down, but after six months for it to be a TNA guy like Bischoff, Parks, or along those lines will just fall short of what the group was meant to be and what it lost sight of being.
If we can't protect Pro Wrestling, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it!
Stop drinking the cool aid son, I may not bash TNA like an unreasonable customer who throws a fit at McDonalds because he ordered a whopper burger and got a big mac instead, but I will bash when it's warranted.
I just returned from church, I'm a Presbyterian, but today I went to a Catholic church just so I could write down everything that was wrong with it. I look forward to going back next week and picking out more things that I thought was wrong.
and where are your Indy posts/threads to counter the ongoing TNA posts or even non-Indy posts/threads? I see someone who identifies his affiliation to his 'denomination' has a lot to say about a 'denomination' he doesn't associate with. For a indy fan you sure have very little to post about it in that area compared to the 'wealth' of critiques you can post about in other areas :P
Because the Indy scene doesn't need a critique. For mistakes one organization can make another compinsates for. Your average Indy card can very from month the month as the roster can change. Honestly critiquing the Indies is far too hard. Not to mention when you critique the Indies you have to background check everyone you have to. So to critique the Indies is a rather redundant method. Granted I have a few, but as I have noticed only a handful give a freak about Indy/International organizations here, as I have observed from lack of interest on my DDT, Chikara, and IWC threads. Plus the constant attacks on most indy wrestlers being declared druggies or spot monkeys. Honestly if I tried to start as many Indy threads as desired all I would do is clutter the forum. So I use the Indy knowledge I have gathered as the measuring stick to which I hold TNA and WWE. Needless to say yes they both fall short, but honestly no one wishes to hear me whine and complain how WWE and TNA should adopt the Indy style, because let's face it most think that means to over run it with spot monkeys, seriously I get tired of hearing that phrase.
Thus when you break it all down yes I am an Indy fan, I do not post alot cause honestly I get tired of no one giving a sh**. Thus I give my points on what people do care about the BIG TWO, yes I know no one really cares about ROH anymore. So that is where I stand on that manner.
Now back to the matter, after watching iMPACT I can safely say that yes Aces and 8's are not what they were when they started. That is they have stepped backwards not forwards and it honestly feels like the only ones who really care about the group anymore are Kurt and who ever is pairing with him at the time. They are not the focused destructive force when they came in cause if they were they would have told Roode on iMPACT that they never had an intention of helping him and they turned on him for the hell of it. Instead they were simply given a higher bid. They are turning into a multiperson poor man's APA.
