Default John Cena Undergoes Arm Surgery

    Source: Lords of Pain

The official WWE website announced that John Cena underwent surgery to remove bone chips in his elbow today. Dr. James Andrews removed several pieces of bone cartilage from Cena's elbow through a scope. He is going home today to Tampa, Fla. and will immediately begin rehab.

WWE initially stated that it would likely take four to six weeks for Cena to recover from a surgery of that nature. The report now states that he is expected to recover in two to three weeks. Another update on his recovery time is expected be released Thursday when he is reevaluated.

WWE will release more information as it becomes available.

I know he seems young, but I have to think Cena will be hanging it up in the next few years. He's had basically a nonstop schedule for about the last nine years and he's rapidly moving through his 30's. The workload will start taking its toll soon if he doesn't ease up. This is a minor procedure, but it may be a sign of things to come.

Yay no Cena for about 3 weeks.

    Wishing him a speedy recovery.

Really? I hope he gets hit by a bus.

Nothing personal, he just drags the show down.

I don't know, it's not like he hits loads of high risk moves. His workload is intense but he seems to be able take it and it's not like he's taking any huge spots. I could see him maybe getting a couple of minor injuries like this but not showing any real signs of retirement til he hits the 40 mark.

Then again maybe he'll feel he's made enough money and retire at 40 or sooner.

I could give two hoots about John Cena's recovery. Try getting yourself choke slammed through the HIAC, then maybe we'll react like it's going to be the end of the world, jabroni.

Oh Boosh I don't like Cena either but I hate to see anyone in the wrestling biz with serious injuries.

Oh I don't have it but god CM Punk put Cena in his place on twitter the one time he didn't do something stupid on there.

He doesn't have to be in a wheelchair or anything, just unable to wrestle. Edge seems pretty happy and healthy.

Ya know at times I wonder. Do some WWE guys really get injured or does WWE just try to go a different route for a time and come up with this just to explain why they are gone. I know it seems dumb but sometimes I wonder.

Well, I see what you're saying but personally if I wanted to go a different route, I'd just go a different route.
