Sounds like a lot of fun.
Count me in if this gets off the ground.
So, I'm assuming this has probably been attempted and done so many times that it has run its course, but I had an idea of creating a contest to see who can book the best wrestling cards. It would be an ongoing event that I've put some thought into. You draft a roster and create a "show" from that roster you created. Fellow competitors vote to see who comes out on top. It gets more in depth, but this is the main concept. Like I said, probably has been done (I'm new here). But if interested, it could be entertaining.

I'll play along
If we can't protect Pro Wrestling, you can be damned well sure we'll avenge it!
I think it would take some tweaking to get it right, but the idea is each person would have a set lineup (Single Match, Tag Match, 4-Way, TLC Tag, Whatever the group decides). One of the ideas I thought would be cool is that the best voted show would get to book the main event match at a Monthy PPV. The winner of the match would be the Champion and the winner of the next set of shows could book the main event for the 2nd PPV and crown a new champion if he chooses to do so. We could keep our original draft, or redraft, or allow for the trading of talent. Lots of things that could be done from this.
Yep it will need some work

So when you say "set of shows" do you mean TV like RAW for example, or is this just a stream of dream cards with no storylines?
My thought was each person generates a card of matches, and picks a winner for each. Everyone ranks the cards based on which one they would most like to watch to the one they would least like to watch.
Let's see if I can clarify this...You draft a roster of X amount of wrestlers. You put together a certain number of matches. Rank the cards of the other members of the group (example of 8 people would be 7 for first, 6 for 2nd, 5 for 3rd, etc). Total the scores of everyone and that "score" will determine the overall standings. The person in first place in the standings picks a PPV Match for a title, 2nd place would pick a match for a different title and so on down through. After the first set of Cards/Shows & PPV are complete, you can "redraft" in reverse order of standings, say you have your roster and that's it or allow trading. 2nd round of cards/shows is run and ranked. Rankings are added to first month and overall leader will pick another Championship match and winner. This can continue for however long we want and be continuous. Thoughts, or anything else that needs to be discussed or added?
I'll give it a go
You can count me in
Those who live without honor, end without honor.
That's 5 people signed up so far. hoping that we can get 3 more.
OK, for the 5 of us that are signed up, maybe we can work out some details, such as number of wrestlers that should be available to draft from, roster size, whether we want the ability to redraft after each month, etc. Please share any ideas or questions you have and we can try to get this thing at least a little closer to being started. Hopefully getting some discussion generated will get others to join in.
I find that for these types of games 20 is usually the most common number.
20 is the best roster to draft from, ive learned that best booking comes for being familer with the wrestler so as were to take them so 1990-2010 is the best stars to draft from. i say offer inside trading for fun, and do a draft every 2 months.
ohh and i might join.
So is this going to happen?
Yeah, I was hoping a couple more people would want to join, but we can do it with 6. I'm thinking that we should develop a pool to draft from. My original plan had called for 10 singles wrestlers and 5 tag teams per contestant. So, that would mean that we need 60 Singles and 30 tag teams. If everyone that's interested in doing this wants to submit entries ranked 1-60 for singles and 1-30 for tag teams, send them to me in a personal message. We'll score them with 60 points for a #1 ranking and 59 for a #2 ranking. I think this could be interesting because you have to think about what ranking you are giving people. If you want someone to show up that you don't think anyone else will vote for, you'll have to rank him a little bit higher.
I thought developing a pool would be good. Then people can try to plan for who they want. I liked the idea of 1990-2010 and think of the wrestlers as if they were in their prime. I was thinking only male, but if you want to add females in, I'm fine with that.
International is fine, everyone will have the same group to draft from in the end. I would tend to stay away from some International names because some people may not have as much knowledge about them. But then again, it could also help turn people on to a new wrestler that they haven't really watched before. There are lots of possibilities with this, so I think it should be fun.
1990-2010 crap, i had my list done too. now i have to restart.![]()
Ok so just so I am clear, we are submitting 60 single wrestlers and 30 tag teams ranked to you first and then once we have a pool we draft from them, correct?
Yes that is correct.
OK, all rosters have been submitted. I'll let you know soon what the pool of wrestlers and tag teams will be.
Now we're working on a draft order. Mr. Tambourine Man had first choice and picked the #1 spot. The Indy Junkie has selected to pick #5. flame3169118, you have the next choice of 2, 3, 4 or 6. Keep in mind the draft order reverses each round.
