Mickie James’ absence from TNA in over three months has been the speculation of much rumor but The Wrestling Observer is reporting that she had a a large benign mass removed that was kept a secret

James had tweeted a photo of herself at the hospital, but didn’t say why.

I know for a fact that it takes at least several months to recover from this kind of surgery. The reason for that is that following the surgery, the patient is put under treatment preventing a possible cancer from developping. One of my Aunt went trough the exact same thing as Mickie James and that's what she told me.

Cheers for the info Martel. I didn't understand the details until reading your post. TNA have been classy at handling delicate issues such as the Sandy funds and now Mickie. TNA did the right thing, they kept it secret, then made brief mention of it on TV, then moving on. If the results were different (Thank God it wasn't), TNA wouldn't be the type of promotion to whore an exaggerated "Mickie has a tumor, let's fight cancer" campaign. Thankfully there's still a wrestling promotion that won't go there in a life threatening situation.
