Got to agree with Bret . Late 1996 , up until he left the WWF a year later was the best he's ever been in his career . Some of he best promos he ever did were in 1997 as a heel . Some of the greatest matches we ever seen him in occurred also , like his lengendary battle with Austin at WMania and the ten man tag he competed in at the Calgary Stampede.
Imo , Bret played one of the biggest roles in the birth of the attitude era. The day he shoved Vinnie Mac to the mat was months and months of built up attitude , waiting to explode. His heel turn imo was one of the greatest ever . Up there with Hogan's heel turn if you ask me.
