Note On Bret Hart's Stampede Wrestling Footage

Bret Hart has revealed in a new interview that before his dad Stu died years ago that he was given the rights to all his taped matches in Stampede Wrestling. “WWE can’t use any footage of me from those days without my permission. But at the same time that kind of footage is useless to me,” Bret told Mike Johnson of PWInsider. “I hope someday that they’ll make me an offer and I’ll sell that to them. I don’t have a problem with that but I’m certainly not going to give it to anyone for free.”

So thats 'just Brets matches' rather than the whole Stampede promotion?
Though Bret is a wrestling A-lister.... just his own matches (some of which are already out on his DVD) may not be worth too much as he admits..... however the library if it also had the likes of Dynamite, Davey, Owen, Benoit, Stu Hart, Pillman, Archie Gouldie, Abullah the Butcher, Andre, Jake Roberts, Bad News Allen .... and all the well known stars who passed through the promotion.... the footage could be valuable and even warrent its own DVD.
