    NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO OOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    NO GOD NO!

WHY GOD? WHY HAVE YOU FORSAKEN ME!?!?!?!

Ok now that I got that out of my system. I am saddened by this as I know WWE will destroy him. I am happy for him as this furthers how far he has come from his early days. This proves a guy can be a low joke jobber and make it big.

Unfortunately for him his in-ring work isn't going to matter squat to WWE and his whole El Generico persona will either be forgotten or go way over everybody's head.

According to PWInsider.com, WWE has signed independent wrestling stand-out El Generico to a deal. It is said that once Generico did not sign a deal with Ring of Honor last year, his goal was to get into WWE.

One of the reasons WWE signed Generico is because he can speak many different languages and he would be handy for many international markets. Also, it is said that Generico's signing is a move made by Triple H and is part of a bigger plan as WWE has many names from the independent scene on their radar, so it is expected that there could be more signings to come as long as the talent passes all their necessary medical exams.

Generico has more one date on his independent schedule as today, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla announced Generico would be back on for their annual DDT4 show this Friday, teaming with his former partner and recent rival, Kevin Steen in the company's annual one night tag team tournament. PWG had a few weeks prior, removed Generico from the card due to "injury".

In recent months, Generico has finished up dates with Dragon Gate USA & EVOLVE on the December 8th EVOLVE iPPV, he dropped his DDT title in Japan to Kenny Omega on December 23rd and he wrestled his final match for CHIKARA on November 11th.

Generico finally has since made his final appearance for ROH last month at the Final Battle iPPV in New York City against Kevin Steen in a Ladder War, which could be their last ever match against each other.

Not sure how to feel about this.

On one hand I'm happy for Generico as he's definitely deserving of the opportunity, but on the other I worry what they'll do with him.

Really? Has he bulked up since I last saw him, because he was far from WWE's look. Wonder if he'll keep the mask, I hope he somehow keeps Generic in his name, I always liked that. Taking the word generic and making it stand out is pretty clever.

He's probably signed as a referee or a member of the ring crew

This sucks, if he was gonna move up, I was kinda hoping TNA would do the smart thing and use Generico to boost the X-Division.

maybe it's me or are people over-reacting to this signing, probably the same people reacted when CM Punk and Bryan Danielson signed for WWE. Maybe at long last WWE is seeing thing in a different light and its not all about the big men anymore

I assume that El Generico means Generic in English. He might actually fit into the WWE.
