- WWE's website has a new storyline interview up with AJ Lee and Dolph Ziggler, asking if they are the new Lita and Edge. Here are a few comments from them:
AJ:
"Any woman who has tried to get into this business has to give [Lita] a lot of credit. If they don’t they’re lying. With that said, I am not the next anybody, I am the first me. And I’m the only me. And there’s never gonna be another me."
"I think if you try to recreate something, you are going to fail. To me, [Edge & Lita] are both Legends and I wouldn’t want to try to be them. I think we are kind of amazing in our own right, and we’re not the next anybody. We are the first ‘us.’"
Ziggler:
"Everybody wants to do it better than others. We happen to do it great. But I don’t want to be a knock-off of someone else. I want to be the best Dolph Ziggler anybody’s ever seen and be the first Dolph Ziggler."

If everything in life had a point there would be no place to sit down.
I don't think they'll ever become that popular. They have talent, and they work good together, but, wasn't the Edge and Lita thing also part of their real life too?
Well if you ask me, I think those 3 are like a wannabe version of Christian, Trish Stratus and Tomko from the SPIKE TV Years of RAW

I totally forgot about that. I never was able to figure out Tomko. That dude just bored the crap out of me.
Tomko was only watchable in TNA, where he should have stayed.
Anyway, back to the topic. Ziggler and AJ shouldn't try to be the next Edge and Lita and the WWE shouldn't try turning them into the next Edge and Lita. I personally wasn't a fan of Edge during his little stint with Lita, mainly because he was a good wrestler, a good talker and I felt Lita was taking away from his growth. I always felt like she was just holding on to his coattails and enjoying the ride. Edge didn't need Lita to get over, Lita needed Edge to get noticed.
I don't think the same can be said for Ziggler. Yes, Ziggy is a good wrestler and a good talker but he seems to work better when he has a lady by his side, it adds something to his character, something Edge never needed. Ziggler and AJ is a great pairing that could benefit both of them if used correctly and kept together for a while.
