Trish Stratus is a godess and she's got the greatest ass in the history of professional wrestling . Induct her for that reason alone .

Ooops , is that sexist ?

Now dont get me wrong but I agree that Trish deserve to be in the hall of fame, but to say that she is the best in the world is short sighted, you can say that she's one of the best that competed in the WWE, but believe me there are quite a few female wrestlers that would out shine Trish with ring skills and most of them compete in Japan, and if you want to talk about American's then you have Madusa and Sara Del Ray, but we all know that Madusa probably will never enter the hall of fame.

Metfan is right, Trish could've saved AJW from closing down.

That is very near sited met, you can be the best in the world and have never stepped foot in a WWE ring. Just watch any Japanese match from NOAH to know that as truth. Remember WWE guys would have a rough time keeping pace with any Japanese wrestler. You could argue best of WWE, but best ever is another thing all together. We are talking generations here man and the world at the same time. Trust me the Sendai girls alone can out do Trish in the ring and can easily lay claim to being better. When it comes to WWE yes Trish has little competition but still has it. She deserves Hall of fame yes, but stop letting your "Third leg" rule your judgement.

I think Trish deserves her spot. Though theres only 3 inductees its looking strong.
I presume Foley will be the head inductee.

Theres bound to be at least one 'they don't deserve inductee' ... I'll await it with interest.

Still unhappy that Savage (in the wake of his death 2 years ago), The Bulldogs, Rick Rude haven't been seen yet. Its ridiculous they have been overlooked so long

Well we have our main eventers and diva for the year.

Now all we need are some mid-carders to round out the bunch.

Kamala could probably be a addition for the year.

There may be one more headliner this year

Take this as a complete rumor until we see for certain, but:

This hasn't been confirmed but a number of people within WWE on the production side believe that WWE and Bruno Sammartino have agreed on a deal to have him inducted into the Hall of Fame this year. The deal may include something to where Bruno doesn't have to interact with Vince McMahon at all. Bruno has stated in the past that he would not be inducted as long as Vince around. Triple H has been the working on getting a deal signed with Bruno.

My own tag team partner disagreeing with me. How dysfunctional?

Here's the deal, as apparently few read what I wrote. You can't be the best in the world if nobody knows who you are. Trish isn't the best (technically speaking now) wrestler in the world but she's the best woman to come through wrestling. She had great looks, she was better than most women as a talker and got it done in the ring. She's the total package, not one dimensional.

Sure others may have been better wrestlers and Japanese women are among the best out there, but they could never survive in the WWE, which is really a man's world. Trish not only survived, but she thrived.

Even JR has said that nobody could ever be better than Trish Stratus.

Saw foley last night with uk based comedian Brendan burns. I was in stitches all night.

Burns told a funny story about making Khali break character at a house show.

Foley mentioned the HOF and said his only goal is to make a more distasteful speech than flair did. Flair, TNA and people that ask if hell in a cell hurt were his main targets for the night. If the show goes to your town I really recommend going. Non foley fans like myself still enjoy it as burns is a massive fans of wrestling and his anecdotes are great.

Default BREAKING NEWS: Bruno Sammartino Announced For WWE Hall of Fame 2013!

    Source: WrestlingNewsSource.com

The official WWE website announced today that Bruno Sammartino will be the forth inductee into the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame during a ceremony which is to take place on April 6, the night before WrestleMania 29. Sammartino is the longest-reigning WWE Champion of all time regularly headlining Madison Square Garden the location of this year's Hall of Fame which will also see the inductions of former WWE Champions Mick Foley and Bob Backlund and former Women's Champion Trish Stratus.

Bruno made the following comments to WWE.com on why he felt 2013 was the right time to finally enter the WWE Hall of Fame after many years of turning it down: "Triple H contacted me and started telling me all the things that had changed and everything that was going on with WWE," Bruno said. "I started watching it after talking to him and when I saw it, I was very, very impressed."

Triple H added: "I love the history of this business," Triple H said. "Without the history, there is no tomorrow. To look back on the history of WWE, one of the most important figures in the long story of where this all came from wasn't recognized. And that was Bruno."

Triple H spoke with ESPN in regards to the induction of Bruno Sammartino into the 2013 WWE Hall of Fame. Here are the highlights:

On why it was important to get Bruno Sammartino into the WWE Hall of Fame:

“From a legitimacy standpoint, it’s important for us to get Bruno in. He’s one of the biggest names there has ever been in the business. So for us to not have him in there, for the legitimacy of the whole thing, it was a major issue. For me, the more important thing was that nobody deserves to be recognized for being a big star and paving the way for the stars of today more than Bruno. Everything that we have today in the business, Bruno was a cornerstone of that foundation. He truly is a living legend. As we started getting into Hall of Fame season, it’s almost like this storyline wrote itself. To have Bruno Sammartino brought into the Hall of Fame in Madison Square Garden, a building he sold out more than anybody in the world, that’s a remarkable achievement. It was an opportunity to honor Bruno, but it was also an opportunity for our fans.”

On how WWE has made amends with Bruno over the issues that he had with their drug-testing and programming:

“There has been this bad blood between Bruno and the WWE for years, and we’re not trying to hide any of it, but I just felt like we are at a point where a lot of it can be resolved. Our wellness program and the way our programming is now, a lot of people are unaware of it, so I felt like if I could get Bruno on the phone and I could run down a list of those things that he didn’t like, I could show him how we changed. We’re PG, family-friendly entertainment with a wellness program that is truly based on the wellness of our performers. We want them to be healthy and live long, productive lives. So I just felt that if Bruno knew about those things, he might feel differently, and eventually, that’s what came to be.”

On helping Sammartino and Vince McMahon to mend their relationship that hasn’t existed for many years:

“Clearly, Vince knew about this right from the get-go, and when I said I wanted to reach out to Bruno, Vince was probably thinking, ‘Well, good luck with that,’” Levesque said. “So Bruno and I established this relationship and as we came to an understanding on all of this, Vince asked me, ‘Hey, do you think I should call Bruno? I’d like to talk to him.’ At the same time, Bruno said, ‘Do you think I should have a conversation with Vince?’ And I said no to both of them. I didn’t think it was right to do over the phone. They had bad blood for a long time, and we’ve all kind of buried the hatchet here, and it’s a new beginning and a fresh start and everybody is in a great place with this, but going back to what Bruno said about being old school, I think we should all get in the same room together and the two of them should look each other in the eyes and shake hands. This should be in person. I don’t think it’s right to do over the phone. They both agreed to do that, and while it hasn’t happened yet, Hall of Fame is probably where we’ll make that happen. Vince and Bruno will see each other for the first time in years and officially, in person, look each other in the eyes and bury that hatchet.”

On keeping Sammartino’s induction a secret:

“It’s not ‘Mission Impossible’ or anything like that, but to me, Bruno getting into the Hall of Fame in Madison Square Garden is the biggest induction we’ve ever done, and rightfully so. He deserves that. So to just have it leak out there, that would’ve been wrong. This is a huge moment in time, and a massive moment for our fans, for Bruno, and for WWE. This is the history of our business. Without Bruno Sammartino, we aren’t where we are today.”

Bruno is the biggest omission from the HOF and had been for years. This HOF class is looking good at the moment!

Despite Bruno quite possible being the most significant WWE name ever (beside Hogan).... I still have a sneaky feeling that Mick Foley will be the head inductee.
What do you think to that folks?

The timing holds great significance. It'll be 50 years since Bruno Sammartino defeated Nature Boy Buddy Rogers to win the WWWF Title, also 50 years since Vince McMahon Sr. & Joseph "Toots" Mondt withdrew Capitol Wrestling Corporation from the NWA and renamed the company the World Wide Wrestling Federation.

Man, didn't expect this but man am I glad it's happening. A huge hole in the HOF Alumni is going to be filled.

Going off what Shockage said, has Buddy Rogers been inducted? Can't seem to find details on his induction if he was.

Great news . For years and years , both Bob Backlund and Bruno Sammartino have declined HOF induction . It's great to see both men , two of the greatest World Champions ever , been inducted in the same night . With another former champion Mick Foley , this will be be most important Hall of Fame of all time .

Right now the story about Bruno being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is the most shared ESPN Story on Facebook. Right above something about the Super Bowl.
