There was no need for an apology here. He really was talking about their WWE careers, as he should. Bubba had some success by himself. So unless you want to count Reverend D-Von as a major singles star, I wouldn't make this an issue.

JBL aka John Layfield has issued an apology via his official Facebook page where he talks about making a mistake on commentary during Smackdown last night. Layfield noted he grouped in The Dudley's and Hart Foundation as tag teams that could never branch out and be successful in singles careers. Layfield added, "Bubba and Devon have been good friends for a long time and I have the utmost respect and love for them, if I had made the mistake on someone else-I would just chalk it up to live TV and not worry about it. But, these guys are good friends and with the Twitter police loving to correct me I thought I would just make it public and explain how it happened." To read his full apology, click here.

Not JBL's fault, he didn't even know that Bully was having a bachelor party until someone asked him about it on Twittah. He replied honestly and sent along his congratulations. But I do like that the wrestling police attempted a citizens arrest and got an apology out of him. It's a WWE admission (not JBL) through that apology that wrestling for many WWE alumni still exists outside the WWE bubble.
Hold on a sec , did he say that The Hart Foundation was an example of a tag team that couldn't branch out into singles competition . Have I read this correctly . Bret Hart couldn't go on to be a successful singles competitor ? WHAT ?
He meant that both stars of the tag teams couldn't become major singles stars.
Ok , understood .
