Today's highlighted wrestler is Black Tiger II aka Eddie Guerrero
Eddie Guerrero grew up surrounded by wrestling. His father, Gory Guerrero, and his brothers all made their name in wrestling while Eddie grew up. When Eddie grew up, he, too, made his name in the wrestling business. When he teamed up with Art Barr, he became one half of the most hated tag teams in Lucha Libre history. In Japan, Eddie found success under the Black Tiger mask, winning the 1996 Top of the Super Juniors tournament, pinning both Wild Pegasus and Jushin "Thunder" Lyger. In WCW, he held the WCW Cruiserweight and U.S. Titles, while holding the WWF/E Intercontinental and European Titles during his initial WWE run. He would go on to become World Tag Team Champion with Chavo Guerrero, Jr, before he accomplished his goal, becoming WWE Champion in 2004. In 2005, his life came to a tragic end in Minneapolis, where he was found dead by Chavo in his hotel room. Two tribute shows were held that night. Eddie left behind an incredible legacy, with success following him where ever he went. His Brainbusters and Frog Splash are among the best you'll ever see.
Here he competes in the semi finals of the Best of the Super Juniors tournament against his good friend Chris Benoit then known as Wild Pegasus
Here we go: Wild Pegasus vs Black Tiger II
A classic double team once used by Art Barr & Eddie Guerrero. Here, it's Chris Jericho doing the Superplexing, while Black Tiger II adds the exclamation point with a beautiful Frog Splash. Shinjiro Ohtani is in a bad way.
Awesome Sequence Topped Off with a Frog Splash
CM Punk charges in, but misses a Jumping Knee as Eddie Guerrero dodges him. Worse, Punk lands on the turnbuckle, and Rey Misterio, Jr. charges Eddie. Eddie tosses Rey into a nice Avalanche Frankensteiner, and then removes Rey. Guerrero heads up top, and nails a perfect Frog Splash.
