Default Hogan Says He Would've Stripped Hardy of the TNA World Title Heading Into UK Tour

    Source: WrestleView.com

Fighting Spirit Magazine is featuring more quotes from a recent interview with TNA's Hulk Hogan where he talks about current TNA Champion Jeff Hardy missing the recent UK tour due to legal reasons preventing him from overseas travel due to his arrest back in 2009. Hogan is quoted as saying he would have stripped Hardy of the title before the tour.

"Dixie runs the company, but if it was up to me and it had been my decision, Bobby Roode would have been a great champion to have right now. The (UK) tour plus a champion makes sense; a tour with no champion doesn't make sense. [But] I choose my battles; some people look at the picture differently to how I do."

Hogan is very outspoken.... I wonder what Dixie thinks.

The other week he was saying that TNA need to be more ambitious and need to compete more directly with the WWE (to be honest in my opinion they don't have the resources yet and should continue building a step at a time)....
Now he's acting god with the bookers.

It wasn't ideal Hardy being absent from the UK tour.... though the tour was still a sell-out.... the UK fans are starved of mainstream wrestling...so of course its going to sell out! They filmed an Impact show at Wembley Arena.... that venue has a capacity of 12,000! For TNA picking up that kind of audience is brilliant!

Would I prefer Bobby Roode to be champion over Hardy? I probably would.... though with Roode and Aries holding the title over the past year as heels... I guess its time for a babyface to hold the belt

I finally get a chance to agree with Hogan for once. It's true that it was a sell out and all, but for the World Champion not to be there at all is not a good sign. Possibly Jeff has turned a corner, which I thought he did in 2008 but even if he did, guys like him may not be Championship material for this reason. Nobody in the WWE would be a champion if he or she couldn't perform in another country. I believe the UK brings in the best numbers, ratings wise for TNA. Even if Christopher Daniels won the title, held it for four weeks and dropped it right back to Hardy once they got back to the States would have been well enough. But will all of the talent that TNA has, it's frustrating that they go right back to him to be champion.

I think TNA are trying to stablise the TNA world title with reigns that last months rather than weeks.
I wouldn't have minded Daniels having a token world title run.... but I dont think management see him as a guy who should be passed the torch.

Hogan may not be keen on Hardy... but the bookers seem to be at the moment!

That's fine but then again, if they wanted a reign that lasted a while, then either give it to a guy who has no restrictions on him or had Hardy drop it to someone who could run with the title for a while.
