WWE Sending William Regal to WrestleCon, Replacing Bruno Sammartino, April 6

PWInsider.com is reporting that WWE star William Regal will be replacing Bruno Sammartino at the WrestleCon convention in Secacaus, New Jersey on Sunday, April 6th from 10:00 AM ET to 12:00 PM ET. Sammartino was brought in for WrestleCon by Sal Corrente, who used to run the WrestleReunion conventions in California and in a show of good faith by WWE, they offered Regal for Corrente to have for the convention in place of Sammartino taking part in WWE events in relation to his 2013 WWE Hall of Fame induction.

Obviously Regal isn't the legend that Sammartino is, but he's such a witty, funny guy I'm sure no one will be disappointed, I bet Regal's a great guy to meet. It's fairly decent of the WWE to offer Regal, they could have just taken Sammartino and not give a damn, and like I said Regal is a pretty good replacement I doubt he does this often these days. The WWE can be pretty decent about this stuff, I remember reading that after Punk had signed with WWE and left ROH but before Punk had begun working for them the E let Punk replace an injured wrestler at one of ROH's shows.
